Hemp Cards is Paul
Hemp Cards is a small business in the Byron Bay hinterland. It makes card games and books that put hemp in people's hands: the Hemp Playing Cards, the Sacred Seed Oracle and a growing shelf of books. Behind it is one person who has spent more than thirty years with the plant.

Paul Benhaim
Paul started working with hemp in 1993. He founded Hemp Foods Australia, which grew into the Southern Hemisphere's largest hemp food producer, and co-founded Elixinol, which listed on the ASX. Along the way he helped introduce CBD to Japan.
He has given evidence to the Australian Senate on industrial hemp, represented hemp at the United Nations and at COP29, and advised governments in Africa, Europe, Asia and Australia. He has written 19 books on hemp and sustainability, and has spoken about the plant across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia for three decades.
These days he splits his time between consulting, hemp materials and building things he wishes existed, like a deck of playing cards that teaches you something every time you deal, and an oracle deck written next to the plant.
